Zelda 3DS XL and Promo on Nov 27

I am pretty sure that This qualifies for the promotion with club nintendo for the free Mario 3D land.  Since it has a download code it counts as purchasing.  I just need to know if I download this game now will it automatically register with Club Nintendo therefore canceling the free game?

I just transferred my system from my old 3ds to the new zelda one

Can I trade in a promotional code for a different one?

When I picked up my copy of A Link Between Worlds today I was also given a promotional code for Oracle of Seasons. I already have this game, so I was wondering if I could trade my promotional code back in to Nintendo in exchange for a different game's 3DS redemtion code?

Zelda 3DS XL Dead Pixel

Okay, I've had quite the experience with 3DSes over this past year.  I thought it was all over just a while ago, but life can never be that fair.

Back in March I got a Pikachu 3DS XL, which I was severely disappointed by due to a plethora of problems (severely wobbly screen, scratchy sound, got dirty inside the screen very easily).  I sent it to Nintendo Repair multiple times in order to get these problems fixed, but because it was a limited edition they couldn't do anything without replacing the system.  Every time I sent it in, I would transfer the data to my original 3DS so I could continue playing games in the meantime.  I eventually tried some home maintenance, which ended up bricking the dang thing.  So today, I got the Zelda 3DS XL, and was surprised to immediately realize it was of much higher quality - screen doesn't wobble at all, sound is always perfect quality, and the system overall feels all smooth and sleek and not like the cheap piece of plastic the Pikachu edition did.  Very satisfied, I'm sure to, as I do with every device, look for dead pixels - even though I've never had one before, I'm aware of them and just want to be certain.  Scrutinizing the screen very carefully, I determine there are none, and then I perform the system transfer from my old 3DS to this new one.

Now, once the transfer is completed, the first thing I want to do is see how nice games would look on it.  Being a Zelda system, and because I think it's the game with the best 3D effects, I appropriately put in Ocarina of Time and try that.  Everything looks great... until, while wandering Hyrule field, I notice a black pixel just above Link.  No matter what I do or what changes on screen, that black pixel remains.  I go to the home menu, and the dark aura surrounding the game's logo, while very black-ish itself, still noticeably has a pitch black pixel in that spot.  It seems to only be visible under certain conditions, hence why I didn't notice it prior to the transfer - when the screen is bright or white, the pixel does not stand out at all.  Yet, when put against other, darker colors, it's a very visible black splotch on an otherwise perfect screen.

In short, I have a dead pixel on the system.  I want to fix it, but I do not want to return the system, since it has all of my data and I'm out of transfers (not to mention that even if I could transfer it, I'd have to wait a week, at which point the Zelda XLs will most definitely be sold out everywhere), and I do NOT want to send it into Nintendo because all they ever want to do is replace it.  Has anybody here had a similar experience with a dead pixel they were able to fix, and if so, how?  I've heard using certain GIFs that flash tons of colors and pressing down onto the area the dead pixel's in, but so far neither of these have worked (I do understand that the color one is supposed to take some time, though, and I only did it for about half-an-hour).  I would like to hear from someone who has fixed this problem though, not speculation or "what you've heard."  Any real help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Transfer SD Card between 3DS systems

I currently have a 3DS that I upgraded with a 64GB SD card.    Today, I'm getting the Zelda 3DS XL bundle, and I'd like to put the larger SD card into it.

Is this as simple as swapping the cards between systems?

If I buy a new 3DS, will I lose my current friend code + all my other friend's codes?

I've been thinking about buying the beautiful new Zelda 3DS system, but something just dawned on me.

If I were to replace my current 3DS with the Zelda one, would I be getting a brand new friend code for myself? Also, would I lose all of the people on my friend's list? Or is all this saved on the SD card? I don't know.

Question about A Link Between Worlds preorder bonus from gamestop.

I bought the Zelda 3DS system yesterday when the game came out. Why was the Oracle of Seasons code not available for that preorder when it was available for the physical copy of the game? I did preorder my system also, so why wouldnt it be available for both?

Extremely Slow Download Speeds

Hello!

I finally tooke the plunge and upgraded from my original 3DS to the Zelda Edition 3DS XL. I am leaving for a trip tomorrow and I wanted to have it to play Zelda on. However, after performing all the system transfers and memory card swaps, the eShop is downloading at an incredibly slow rate on my new 3DS. the past hour it has only gone up to 2%. I have never had this problem with my old 3DS and all my other devices that are connected work just fine. A test speed shows a wireless download rate of 7mbps, and my 3DS is right by the router (as is my computer). Has anyone else experienced this problem or know a way to fix it? It's extremely frustrating especially since I wanted to have to game for my trip, and now I can't even download it. Any help is appreciated. Oh, and if it means anything I have AT&T U-verse as my ISP. Thanks!

Hi, i have the pikachu edition 3ds xl, but i also want to buy the limited zelda edition, but i don't know if i can use my nintendo account on both of them, i NEVER buy games from the eshop, nor plan to, it's just to log in the system using my nintendo account, also, will my friend code change if i register with my account? is the friend code tied to the console itself?
Any other problems you can hink of while owning 2 3ds?
Thanks!

3DS XL Zelda (Link Between Worlds) Console Defect?

I just purchased a new 3DS XL/Zelda - Link Between Worlds bundle...it's really, really great.

I have a question though - when I previously owned a 3DS (cosmo black) and also my 3DSXL (red/black), they would both 'click' when opening to the different angled positions. This new console, doesn't click at all, and feels kind of soft/mushy when locking into place. I like it that it doesn't click, but just ensuring this isn't an issue, in the long run.

Thoughts?

Problems with Streetpass Mii Plaza after system transfer

I decided to make the move up to 3DXL after the new Zelda 3DXL came out.  Last night I did the system transfer from my old 3DS, following instructions and even switching SD cards when asked.  When the process was over, most things transferred just fine.  However, I found that some of my Mii Plaza information didn't transfer over.  I still had my Mii and all of the people I've streetpassed before, but the Warrior's Way and Monster Manor data did not transfer.  "Oh well, I guess I'm starting over," I thought, and I redownloaded them.

But what's really bugging me is the puzzle pieces didn't transfer over either, except for the first eight panels or so.  I was pretty bummed that I'd have to recollect all of the pieces, but I've found that when I streetpass with other people, I'm unable to get puzzle pieces from them.  Their Miis won't even follow me into the software.  And when somebody streetpasses me, they see that I have all of the pieces I used to have and are even able to receive them.  Meanwhile I'm unable to see the pieces I have or obtain any new ones.

Now here's one other twist:  When I put the SD card from my old 3DS into my new 3DSXL, all of my old Mii Plaza information returns.  All the puzzles are viewable again.

Is it possible for me to just transfer all of that Mii Plaza information over to my new system or SD card?  Or at the very least can I unlock the puzzles that I supposedly already have and once again be able to receive puzzle pieces from street passes?

Can I restore data from an SD card to a new 3DS system?

So I took my 3DS into Best Buy, because my R bumper was broken, and we still had a warranty on it. They got a new one for me in the mail, and once it was in I went to the store and gave them my old system for the new one. I took the game, stylus, and SD card out, and inserted the SD card into the new system, expecting it to just run off of the SD card, but no. None of my games were there, and none of my installed software or save data was there, either. I went into the settings hoping to be able to find somewhere to back up to the new 3DS system from my SD card, but the only option was to transfer data from one system to another. Please help!

Thanks!

Lost data after transfer? (Streetpass Plaza, downloaded game data)

So you mighta heard: Nintendo released the sequel to the best game ever a couple of days ago, and they even designed a new Zelda 3DS XL after the new game. Naturally, I picked one up to replace by non-XL 3DS. I mean, Zelda, right? I'm sold.

One of the first things I did with my new XL was perform the transfer. It was a bit more complex than I expected, to be honest, but I went through with it. At one point in the transfer, it notified me that there was insufficient space on the SD card. From what I understood, I was ensured that, although this would prevent some of my games being transfered, I could redownload them all. And I have. I had the 20 Ambassador NES/GBA games, both Oracle games, ACNL, and some others. All redownloaded.

I haven't checked Animal Crossing yet (I'm scared to really), but non of the other games have any of their saved data. There is no saved file on Seasons or any of the other Virtual Console games. Bummer, but I can live. I'll be curshed if my AC town is gone though.

Anyway, to my question: I seem to be missing some StreetPass Plaza data. I have had over 600 streetpasses, had most of the puzzle peices, many of the hats, and had downloaded all four of the new streetpass games. After the transfer, when I went to the Plaza (and updated), I had to redownload (for free) the four streetpass games. None of them have any saved progress. As for the puzzle peices, I have all of the original panels that came with my orginal 3DS, with all of the peices I've collected on them, but I don't have any of the newer panels. Find Mii doesn't seem to have saved any progress. I do, however, still have all my hats and streetpass tags.

So.... what's up? What (if anything) did I do wrong and what (if anything) can I do to fix it? I can live with missing Virtual Console saves, but I can't figure out how to download the missing puzzle panels, and I don't know why some of my streetpass plaza saves are there and others are missing.

In other news, A Link Between Worlds might, MIGHT, be my new favorite game. I'll have to beat it first.

Edit: Animal. Crossing. Data. Is. Gone.

Gone.

I...I'm crushed. What kind of transfer doesn't... TRANSFER? If this was an issue with the space on my SD card I'll be ticked off. It NEVER said I'd lose save data. And when it said that there wasn't enough space I tried to back out of the transfer and free up space, but there was no option to. I had to proceed with the transfer at that point.

Second Edit: So, doing research. I couldn't find much before I posted, but I did find this: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/309/p/430

And it says:

"If you recently performed a system transfer and chose not to delete the  data on the target system's SD Card, you will need to copy its contents  to your PC or Mac and then format the card if you still wish to copy the  source system's SD Card content to it. How to"

Which... seems to be my solution? I don't want to do this though if it's gonna screw me up. Can someone confirm please that my life is indeed saved and all I have to do is rescue my town of Earth off of my old SD card?

Third Edit:

First off, this guy has my same problem: http://techforums.nintendo.com/thread/28422?tstart=0

And his "solution" of just using the old SD card worked for me. When I put it in, all the old saves show up like magic. It reorganizes my home screen to how I had it, and it has my AC save. I'm assuming it has my Streetpass panels and VC save points also.

So... I followed the steps on that link that I posted in my last edit. I copied all the files on my old SD card to my new SD card using my PC. Aaaaaand.... nothing. Nada. Just more sadness and depression and tears. Even though all the files are on the new SD card... they don't show up on my 3DS.

So... I'd like a fix. I'd consider just using the old card, but it doesn't have my new Zelda game on it that I downloaded from the XL Zelda Bundle. I feel a lot better knowing all my data is still there... but is there any fix so that I can have the convenience of having all my data on one card?

Nintendo Network IDs on 3DS and Wii U

I've looked at all the FAQs I could find on Nintendos website and none have really answered my questions. I know you can make a NintendoNetwork ID on your 3DS after the system update and if you have one on the Wii U you can use it instead. But I sadly do not yet own a Wii U. So can I make a Nintendo Network ID on my 3DS and then, somehow, tranfer it too my Wii U in the future?

Game card spontaneously "ejects" while playing.

I've gotten this error a few times playing Pokemon X:

"An error has occured, Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again. For help, visit support.nintendo.com"

Usually this happens while the system is in sleep mode; I close it and come back to it later and it's displaying this message.  This latest time, it happened while I had the game open and was playing it; the screen suddenly went black and the error message displayed.

After I hit the power button, I went back to the home menu and my cartridge icon was blank as if I didn't have a cartridge in there.  Once I ejected it and put it back in, it showed up again.

I mostly do digital downloads, not cartridges, so I don't know if it's an issue with the card reader or the cartridge itself.  I haven't had the problem with the two other carts I've used but it's kind of a rare problem and I don't play those nearly as much as Pokemon.

So, what's going on here?  What should I do?

One speaker is louder than the other...?

I heard some music coming from my brother's 3DS, and it sounded somewhat tinny (like it was too loud).  I played the same music on both mine and his 3DS (it was the music from X and Y from the mushroom town) and noticed a distinct difference; mine sounded smoother (if that's the correct term).  I went to adjust the settings, thinking that it may have been set to Mono, but it was set on Surround.  I tested the speakers by placing my finger over one while I listened to another, and the left speaker sounds normal, while the right one sounds fainter.

It's not really a big issue, but is there anything I can do to fix this myself (aside from taking it apart, which I'm definately not doing)?  Is there any harm from leaving it like this?

Thanks in advance!
