Hey guys. I'm totally new to this forum, so if I'm posting in the wrong place, let me know where to move to and I'll get on that.
I bought a new 3ds XL two weeks ago (the New Super Mario Bros. Gold edition one), and I love it. However, while I was playing Fire Emblem this morning, I noticed a series of small scratches on the top screen, matching up with the edges of the bottom screen. I've been searching around and found out that this is a somewhat common issue with the system. I also noticed a pair of scratches on the folding hinge, and read that it might be a design flaw.
My question is, if I send it to Nintendo for repairs, will the screen scratches be covered under the warranty? The hinge marks don't bother me all that much, but the screen scratches are fairly noticeable during play, and I like to keep my consoles in as good of condition as possible. Also, have any of you gone through Nintendo for repairs, and were you happy with them?
Thanks in advance for any help you all can give! I'll do my best to provide any other information needed.
