3DS XL 32GB micro SDHC trouble

I put the data from the 3DS on the laptop then i used the 32GB micro SDHC card it goes on fine. But when i put it on the 3DS XL none of the games or anything comes up i tried it on both the my laptop and computer any nothing works i'am i useing the wrong card please can any one help me.
