Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here. Forgive me if the following issue gets complicated.
(Figured out a solution to this, but I figured I might add it in case someone else has this issue.) First, my 3DS randomly turned off while I was playing Bravely Default--black unresponsive screens, power light still on, softly popping audio. When I tried to turn it back on, I got the same symptoms. The device would take some time to turn off, but Idk whether this was the forced shutdown or the "Sleep/Home" screen. Eventualy, I figured out that it was the SD Card that was preventing it from turning on, and checked that all my non-SD data was still on the 3DS.
However (maybe this was a stupid idea), I then tried to re-insert my SD card while leaving the 3DS on in hopes of resuming normal play. This isn't a problem if the card is a game card, but with the SD, the 3DS gave a loud POP and both screens abruptly turned black. I can't restart my system with my SD card in the device, so at the moment, I'm playing without it. Works fine for games that store their save data on the card, but not so much for DLC content and SD-dependent things like Streetpass. Yet when I try to use computers to recover the files, not even they can recognize the SD card that all the 3DS data is installed on. I've tried installing drivers, using file recovery softwares... Nothing.
This would be less of an issue if I knew how to recover all my Streetpass data (Monster Manor/hats/etc) AND how to recover DLC content, especially from Fire Emblem Awakening since I bought all the maps and do NOT want to have to buy them again.
Please help me with this issue. I don't want to have to start all over and pay more money. Is there a way to recover the aforementioned data? Thanks!!
