Pokemon X and Y download code problem

I'm trying to get the download code for Pokemon X and Y. I registered my 3DS and my Animal Crossing: New Leaf game, as the instructions said to do. Now, the instructions say to click "Select Your Free Game" in my to-do list, but there is nothing in my to-do list. I don't know what else to do, so if anybody knows what I might be doing wrong, please let me know. Thanks.
