System appears to charge but won't turn on.
My NIntendo 3DS XL won't turn on. It has an orange charging LED, but it will not turn on no matter how long I hold down the power button. I have properly reseated the battery and let it charge for over 3.5 hours, yet it will not turn on. It started having issues about 1 week ago. The power LED was always red, even while charging. Thusly, it refused to system update. Recently I was playing it and it just died. It wouldn't turn on even after charging it. Can I just get another battery, or will I need a repair? Thanks in advance. I can provide additional details if you need them.
(Yes, my warranty has expired.)
Opening my 3DS from Sleep Mode, and getting black screens/stuck in Sleep Mode while open?
Dunno how else to explain it, but I'm wondering if this is an ongoing issue for others. I swear, ever since the last system update, EVERYTHING has been going wrong with this dumb thing... Internet Browser still boots me out when I try to open it, still experiencing unusual lag offline in some games, and now the mother of all issues rises up from it all.
Basically, nothing out of the ordinary appearance-wise, until I try to open my 3DS while it's closed and in sleep mode while I collect play coins and potential (read: nonexistent) streetpasses,. Upon opening, it's just stuck on black screens, and the light appears to still do its light low-to-high thing it does when its in sleep mode... sometimes. At least once, the light stopped changing luminosity altogether and was just sitting at its current brightness with the black screens.
I just don't know what the heck is causing it. I'm not violent or clumsy with the system, so it's not from physical damage, and this has only arisen since my last system update; since then, I've had like 8 instances of opening my sleep mode 3DS only to find I'm blackscreened and have to forcibly reset my system. It's gotten to a point where I had my system on for a long period of time, close it out of habit, think immediately about what would happen if it froze again, open it out of fear and it have frozen in the span of 1 second of being closed. This thing is driving me up a wall now, to the point I just don't even want to bother touching the stupid thing for fear it might pull some other stupid glitch on me mid-game and I suddenly lose all my save data or something.
Seriously Nintendo, what the heck did you mess up with your last system update? My 3DS is practically ruined because of it.
GBA Ambassador Games Restore Points
I know it's been years since they came out but I was always a little dissapointed in how the Gameboy Advance games never got updated while the NES ones did. I started playing Sacred Stones a month or two ago and while it would be cheating, the restore points would save me countless hours of replaying missions. I only mention it as I noticed that Sacred Stones is on the Wii U with this feature now and it's almost tempting to buy it and start over, even though I also have it for the original platform as well.
My game won't work
Ok, so for my birthday I recieved Pokemon Platnum. I love the game, but it won't work on my 3DS, yet for some reason it only works on my friend's DSi XL. It won't even work on mine or my brother's DS Lite. It's really weird. HELP PLEASE!!
Also another thing, it looks like someone's stuck a sticker on it. And it's an AU system, and an AU game.
Transfer from 3ds xl to new 3ds question
I apologize if this had been answered already, but I wanted to post my question here...
I know that to keep all my save data, NNID, and eshop items I have to do a transfer between the two systems... however, what I've picked up on is that most people doing the transfer have a regular SD card (current 3ds xl- source) transferring to a micro sd card (new 3ds xl - target). I have just moved my data via PC onto the micro sd card that is now in my 3ds xl... but how would the transfer work when it comes time to transfer to the new 3ds xl? Would I still need to put a new sd card in the new 3ds xl or not? Or is there some information I'm missing?
Thanks for your help!
Broken button
I recently got a New 3ds xl and transfered all the information from my original 3ds xl. Since I had mostly been letting my kid play with it, I hadn't realized until recently that the X button only works every two or three presses. I was going to just exchange it at Target (where I bought it), but since I can't transfer my information back to the original first, I don't want to lose all my information and digital games. Any ideas how to resolve this situation?
New 3DS XL Freezes - Please Help
In Early April, I purchased a New 3DS XL. Transfered all my stuff, worked fine. Cut to Early July, and when playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, it freezes up. I thought it was just a onetime error, afterall it is a big game. Now whenever my New 3DS Xl turns on, it freezes, no matter what I am doing.
SD Card Transfer Problem
Hello!
So, I traded in my original 3DS for the New 3DS XL. Beforehand, I transferred all my SD card data (from my 3ds) to my PC. I read Nintendo's guide for SD card transfer multiple times and tried other methods too. But when I copy paste the "Nintendo 3DS" folder to the MicroSD (New 3DS), nothing happens. I waited for two hours for all the data to transfer. I am using the MicroSD management on my New 3DS to connect to my PC. It shows on the # of blocks that the transferred data is taking up space, but none of the data actually appears on my New 3DS!
I'm very frustrated because I've tried practically everything. I've read about how to transfer for hours and I can't find anything I'm doing wrong. And I don't want to lose all my streetpass data and friends codes. The only games I have downloaded are Animal Crossing: New Leaf and LoZ: Four Swords. I really would like to keep my data for New Leaf as well .
When I transfer the "Nintendo 3DS" folder to my New 3DS XL, it asks me to replace files. Am I not supposed to replace it? Also does it matter that I'm not pasting my DCIM folder from my 3DS? Because I don't want to transfer all my photos and I don't think that should have any effect on it...
Sorry I know a lot of people ask about this! But I really can't find a solution for this. I'd really appreciate if someone can help me please!!

UPDATE: Nintendo support said that the reason my data is not appearing is because my Nintendo Network ID is still linked to my old 3DS. I called them to link to my New 3DS XL. SO I think MicroSD management does work for data transfer! I will update in 1 - 5days, which is how long the account should take to re-link. Apparently once it's re-linked, I will receive an email and all I'll need to do is sign into my New 3DS and restart. Then my data should show up because I already transfered the data to my new MicroSD.
super stable 3ds wont work correctly
my super stable 3d will not work correctly i just got this thing and for some reason when im in the middle of play a game the 3d will start to flicker its realy starting to hurt my eyes. i do wear glasses but ive seen people who do wear glasses say they have no probelsm with it and people who dont wear glasses that have the exact same problem.

Super smash bros Replays
I was just wondering if it happens to someone to play a really good game and when it's time to reply it... there is no more replays slot available since you already have all of them recorded. Could it be possible to overwrite one when you want to record the match you just play, otherwise you lost it and it's sad.
Nintendo 3DS wifi connection via Windows Virtual Router.
I'm trying to set up a wifi hotspot through my computer using the Virtual Router feature of Windows 7. I managed to get it working, but the problem now is getting my Nintendo 3DS to connect to the created hotspot. My 3DS can SEE the hotspot, can save the settings for it, but can't connect for some reason. As it is trying to connect, the wireless box in the upper-left corner of the top screen is blue with "Internet" showing, along with a full signal strength. But it just keeps going and never connects. Is there a way to make this work?
Streetpass Weirdness
Hey, so yesterday I was hanging out with my friends, talking about Mad Max, so when one of my pals showed up on my Streetpass, I figured it'd only be appropriate to send him the personal message of "MEDIOCRE", but when he got my streetpass response, it said "Romani pasta" instead.
We're both super confused as to how it managed to change like that? Also, I didn't even know you could write as many letters as with "Romani pasta"?
If anyone could give an explanation for this weirdness, it'd be really appreciated. Thank you!
Transferring from a second SD card to MicroSD
I got a New 3DS XL a few months ago, but before that I had a regular 3DS that I had two different SD cards for. I could only transfer one SD card to the new system and now I am unable to access my Pokemon X copy and a few other games that were on my second SD card. Is there any way I can add the data to my current MicroSD, or do I need to have a second MicroSD card? It's a lot harder to have two MicroSD cards because you have to unscrew the back every time. On my old 3DS you could just pop a new card in relatively easily. I've been trying to figure this out for a few months now with no luck.
Any help is appreciated!
Needing to reformat or either delete NNID... questions...
Hi, my son recently gave me his 3ds xl as he got another one and I need to know what I should do to take his NNID off and make one for myself. I kind of understand the idea of what to do. If he has downloads and a balance etc, I should just reformat instead of delete, but here is the situation. He had no purchases or downloads on it at all. He did however have a netflix account linked to it. Can I just re-format or do we have to do a transfer from my 3ds to his new one for that? or can he just sign in on his new one and it pick right back up where it was? Also, and I know this may be a ignorant question, but will this leave my pre-installed game Mario 2 (the one that came pre-installed when he purchased the unit) or will it disappear? I'm pretty sure it should still be there as it came from the factory this way (right?). It seems like basic logic as computers come from the factory with pre-installed this and that program, app, etc., but I wanted to make darn sure as the ds systems seem just a little quirky in this regard. Thanks so much for any info.
Need help if possible
A few months ago my 2DS's right bumper button stopped working, and after taking it apart found out that the actual button attached to the motherboard fell apart. Today i finally was able to buy a motherboard from eBay and got it in, only to find out that I can't get my purchases back. I like to do my own repairs, that's why i bought a motherboard instead of seeing about warranty stuff, but I think the button stopped working because of me dropping my system a few times so I don't think that helps. I need some way to unlink my old 2DS motherboard from my nintendo ID so i can log in with the new motherboard and get my purchases, if that's at all possible. This has me very frustrated and angry at Nintendo for not allowing multiple DS's to be connected to one account. I understand why they did that, but I'm just very frustrated because most of my games are online and the cartridge port on this motherboard isn't working so i can't play the few games i have on cartridge.
Old 3DS destroyed, unable to do system transfer
Hello everyone. Awhile ago, my old NEW 3DS bit the dust. I left it on for awhile and I think it burned out. Whenever I push the power button it lights up the power light for a few moments and then just shuts off again. The screen doesn't turn on. Nothing. I reseated the battery, let it charge overnight multiple times, swtiched the games, switched micro SD cards, and it would not work, so I gave in and got a new NEW 3DS. 2 problems thus far:
The saved data and games on my old 32GB MicroSD aren't appearing on the new 3DS I got. It says I have a little over 150,000 blocks open, which sounds like less than 32GBs, so what happened? Did my old 3DS corrupt or wide my SD card?
Secondly, since my NNID was associated with the old 3DS, I can't pull it over to my current one and thus can't do a system transfer either. I'm stuck. I can't redownload games, can't access saves, nothing. What do I do?
JAPANESE NEW 3DS WILL NOT DISPLAY ANYTHING ON BOTH SCREENS PLEASE HELP

Update Error 005 - 4040
Last night I was trying to update my new XL 3DS, but an error keep showing up. The error code is 005-4040. So I tried my other two 3DS, first one able to go to eshop, the seond 3DS able to upgrade 9.8 to 9.9, and shop works too .
Only my new 3DSXL update loading bar not moving at all. However, the new 3DSXL's internet works (I can watch YouTube or Google on it). So i tried reset my internet this morning. The error code was gone, BUT still showing error when I trying to update my new XL 3DS. This time the update bar only load to about 20% in few seconds. But after that it's not moving. I have tried reset the Internet on the new xL3DS afterwards. Still not working.
plz I need help.
Moving ACNL Save Files
My friend got a new console and didn't quite system transfer right. She has her OLD SAVE DATA backed up, but she did start a NEW SAVE. We think we know which files are the ACNL ones:
Nintendo 3DS>gibberish folder>gibberish folder>extdata>00000000>00000863
and
Nintendo 3DS>gibberish folder>gibberish folder>title>00040000>00086300
I know the folder in extdata is for sure ACNL stuff, but the folder in "title" seems to be the game itself and we're not sure what steps to take there... i've recovered my OLD SAVE DATA before for acnl, but i dont quite remember the steps I took when I got my save back, it was something along the lines of:
1) delete new save files from sd card (do I delete them both or just extdata with 863?)
2) uninstall acnl from new system (this gets rid of the title file with 863)
3) put those 2 folders (containing 863) in their respective folders on the sd card
4) reinstall the game (this step could be flip flopped with 3?)
Idk if any of this makes sense, but any input would be appreciated.
