Should I send in my N3DS-XL for a repair?

Hi,

 

On July 2nd, I got a New 3DS-XL to play the amazing Monster Hunter 3U and Monster Hunter 4U. About a day or two after I got it, the C-stick started acted odd. I have to apply an unusual amount of pressure for it to register in the down direction. It also feels that the other directions require a bit more pressure than they should as well. When the problem first arose, I just thought I'd let it slide because when I gave the 3ds a break for a while, the c-stick would fix itself and work correctly for a bit, but now, it's not fixing iself anymore. I decided to have a look-see on the internet and it seems a lot of other people are having this problem.

 

I'm wondering should I send it in for repairs or will the c-stick keep breaking when I get it back? Should I save myself the trouble and get used to it?

 

If I should send it in, where do I send it and do I need to worry about any of my games or saves messing up?

Pokemon Shuffle save data corrupted while transfer

Just a few hours ago I was transferring my data from my 4GB SD card to a 16GB one. I checked every downloaded games that I have and all were working just fine except Pokemon Shuffle. The save data happened to have been corrupted while on transfer. Is there any way that I can get the data back? Will providing my client number for the game help? My concern is that all the things that I obtained from timed events in the game will be lost forever so I was hoping I could at least get those back (I managed to get the Lucarionite back from one of the events from my old file so I'd like to think there must be a way for this) Any kind of help would be appreciated.

System problems after latest update

I updated my N3DS system last night when I saw a new update was available.  After the update I went back to playing Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.  When I went to the home menu with the game suspended and tried to see if anyone in my friends list was online, the system locked up.  The home menu theme's music kept playing but the system went completely unresponsive.  I had to force the system off by holding the power button.  I didn't pay much mind to it thinking it was a fluke, so I played Pokemon a little bit more then went to sleep with the game in sleep mode.  This morning however, when I opened my N3DS again, the system was locked in a silent black screen.  I forced the system off once more and decided to test some things with the system.

 

To make this short, when I try to access the friends list, notes, notifications, or even switch games/applications while in certain games (both hardcopy and downloaded, save file loaded), the system will lock up.  Also once in a while, after opening the N3DS, loading a game from the home menu will lock it up as well.  Furthermore, the system will not connect to the internet by itself and even when it does it only stays connected for a few seconds.  I was not having these problems before the update as I was doing these regularly long before the update.

 

Since this started directly after an update and I cannot connect to the internet to check for an update, is there anything I should try before looking to send the N3DS in for repair?

New 3DS XL Backlight Bleeding in touchscreen

Hi. I recently bought a New 3DS XL. And i noticed, in the left side of the touchscreen, some light dots, like backlight bleeding.

 

Here is a pic from my console and watch the edge of the screen.

Some areas are illuminated and others no. It looks like a rope light.

I don´t know what happened here, since i bought it, i really taked care of my system.

New 3ds unresponsive c-stick

I bought a new3ds xl today and have been trying to play monster hunter 4 ultimate but the c-stick seems unresponsive, especially when pressing down. I have been talking on various forums and people are saying that their c-stick is really sensitive. IM just trying to get an idea of how sensitive its supposed to be as mine just doesnt feel right and am considering taking it back for an exchange.

Internet Browser Error but no error code?

I am using 3DS at a public place and my 3ds usually just connects fine as soon as I go to internet browser and click "Agree to Terms" to the public wifi spot. Today I tried doing the same thing and this is the message I get when connecting..

 

"The Internet Browser cannot be used at this time. Please check your network enviroment or try again later."

 

What does this mean? Is there something I am doing wrong? I am not tinkering around with any settings or anything. It has no error code and I have been searching for an answer on Nintendo, but to no avail.

 

Can someone please help me? I feel I am the only one recieving this error.

Error 003-2001 & 003-2002 with Pokemon Y

Hi all!

 

So yesterday after a long period of not playing, I picked up my 3DS and Pokemon Y. Since I was at home, I figured I should connect to the internet so if any of my friends were on, I could trade and stuffs. 3DS said I needed to update my software to connect to internet, so I did that after saving my game. I updated my software (successfully) and went back to Y. However, it wouldn't connect. Instead, it gave me the error codes 003-2001 and 003-2002. I tried manually changing the DNS information, but that didn't help. So, in the end I still can't connect to internet with my Y - which is a bummer because I'd like to trade with my friends. :<

 

All my other devices using the same internet connection work, as well as my room mate's PS3 & PS4. It's only my 3DS that keeps getting screwed. I also deleted all my previous connections and made a new one, and the test for connection afterwards was succesful. However, Pokemon Y still spews error codes instead of connecting. Help? :<

Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Can't connect to Dream Suite

Hello!

 

This is a problem that has been happening for a few weeks now:

 

I go to the Dream Suite and attempt to dream (both options, that of saving my town's dream and visiting another town's dream.) as it begins to load a red box appears at the bottom of the screen that says "A communication problem occurred." with no further information.

 

General information:

 

- The internet is functioning just fine on my 3DS. (I have tested it.)

- I'm able to access other features in the game, such as: Club Tortimer's island, allowing other players in/going to other towns (opening the gates), and sending BF messages.

- I have updated the system and ACNL's up to date info multiple times.

 

So, anyone know what's going on?

2DS restarts when I load Smash.

I decided to play SSB4 on my 2DS. Here's what happens:

 

I open the game from the home screen. It shows that Nintendo 3DS logo thingy. It stays black like it's supposed to for a few seconds. Turns off. Turns itself back on. I'm at the home menu. ***?!?!?

 

I try again. Same thing happens.

 

I tried putting in a different game. Loads perfectly.

 

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS HAPPENS.

 

I'm going to call Nintendo if I don't get answers.

3ds won't turn on, but charges.

So basically I have a Day 1 3ds. It was working fine until recently. However, today, I closed it on the smash 3ds character selection screen, and when I went to reopen it, the system suddenly shut off (making no sound) straight to the black screens. Now I cannot turn it on. However, it still will have an orange charging light when I plug it in to an adaptor or use the cradle. Do I have a faulty battery, or is it something else?

Warranty question

I have a Nintento 2DS.  The top screen seems to have lost its seal and keeps popping out. Would this be considered for as hardware or game warranty? The Hardware is 12 months warranty and Game is only 3 month.  Thanks

I have a New Nintendo 3DS XL and from this wednesday when i start Nintendo e-shop or Miiverse...the lower screen goes black and says: An error has occurred and turn off the console but there is no error number.Help me please !!!

Pokemon Rumble World: Spotpass Unresponsive

I recently have been adding new friends to my friend list specifically for this game, and have seen several of them online playing Rumble World throughout the week.  I have had the 3DS in sleep mode for at least 16+ hours, and nothing is updating.  I got nothing today, yesterday, and the day before that.  I leave my 3DS in sleep mode throughout the night, but nothing is happening!  What the devil is going on?!

eshop purchasing questions

So I want to buy Shovel Knight from eshop. I can only figure out how to add funds and not directly use my credit card.

 

Does this mean I have to buy in $10-$20 increments? The game is only $15 and I will be stuck with $5 unused?

New Nintendo 3DS XL and MH4U Online Problem when Charger used.

Hi Guys, I just recently bought the console and now the problem is whenever I am playing MH4U Multi-player Online and I try to connect the charger in just a few seconds or minutes it will disconnect from the Internet and would have problem connecting back again while the charger is plugged. But when I try to unplug the charger it will connect easily and not disconnect from Online.

 

What could be the case exactly?. A friend of mine told me he had the same issue and what he did was just to change channel of the Router., I did it but for a few minutes it will disconnect me again.

9.9.0-26U - MH4U Slowdown

Hi. Immediately after upgrading to the latest patch, MH4U has become extremely slow during quests. This is unlike normal heavy-processing slowdown (as can happen with 4p multiplayer), and is unaffected by turning 3D on/off. Frame rate almost seems capped lower than usual; it's like playing at half speed. It seems to get slower gradually as time goes on in the quest, but is unaffected by environment/monsters presence. Control input seems to lag badly as well. The speed returns to normal as soon as the  completion overlay is displayed at the end of a quest, and palico/hunter celebration animations are at full speed.

 

Hoping for a speedy resolution (supplemental patch, if this is a new firmware bug) as this is making the game sluggish and nearly unplayable.

I probably screwed up on my data transfer

My problem is a bit more complicated than the title suggests, an I'll be the first to admit that I screwed up. On my old 3DS, I used more than one SD card to carry my large array of downloaded games. I know now I probably shouldn't have done that. When I transferred the data to my new 3DS, or The New 3DS, I only had one SD card in the source system, so naturally only the save data for the games in that SD card carried over to the microSD card of the target system. What I need to know now is how I can transfer the data from my other SD card to the New 3DS' microSD card. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
