Nintendo Support listing my 3DS as incorrect model
Just had to submit a repair request for my 3DS XL (I'll detail the issue below), and under "Repair History" it's listing my model as "Nintendo 3DS XL System - Blue/Black." I have the gold Zelda model. Are they going to send me a blue/black 3DS XL back? Because if so, I don't want to send this in, and I'll figure out some way to repair it myself, whether or not it voids the warranty.
The unit has worked perfectly until today. I opened the 3DS from sleep, but it wouldn't come on. Just two black screens. After about ten seconds, I held down the power button to turn it off, waited a few seconds, and turned it back on again. The 3DS will boot to the main menu, as usual, but after about ten seconds, I get a black screen with an error message that reads: "An error has occurred. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again. For help, visit support.nintendo.com." Tried it again, same result. I tried plugging the unit in, removing the game card and the SD card, turning it off and on again, same result. Boots to main menu and after about ten seconds, black screen with that error message.
According to Nintendo's support site, I need to send this unit in for repairs, but as stated in the first paragraph, I only want to do this if I can get a gold Zelda 3DS XL back (if not this exact unit, repaired). Anyone have any suggestions?

About Repairing a Nintendo 3DS
Hello,
My son wons a Nintendo 3DS game system. It appears that he removed the SD card while he was playing with it. Now something broke I think and it no longer powers up properly. It shows only a 'Home' screen and nothing else.
Please tell me what to do now? Where to repair it? And How much will it cost approximately to repair it? Note that there is no warranty.

My 3DS top screen is acting...uh...strange...
On my 3DS, I was playing Ocarina of Time 3D, and I brought the wrong dog to the dog lady in Castle Town. Then my Top Screen went dark-ish red.
WHY?! I thought it was a way to signify that I messed up, but I shut off my 3DS because I'm a wimp. I reset, and it was terrifying again.
(not only that, my "A" button only works if i smash my thumb into it.)
How do I fix this?

The new updated killed my nintendo zone.
The new update killed my ability to use the nintendo zone. I have 2 3ds xl. One updated last night. I went to a McDonalds and the non updated one streetpassed and the nintendo zone icon said I was in the zone. The update one said I was and when I had it search it said "Nope no nintendo zone here" even though my other one and my daughters ds both said yes the is a zone here. So I updated my other 3ds xl and as soon as it restarted it could not log into the zone and said there wasn't on available, but my daughters 3ds, which has not updated, said the zone was still there and she could log in.
So how do I fix this and is there anyway to get rid of the update? We live in a very small town and the McDonalds is one of the few places we can streetpass.

How long to wait for "Ready for UPS" tag?
Ordered a refurbished 2ds a few days ago. I got an email saying the thing had been shipped, yet on the ups tracking site it says "ready for UPS," so it clearly hasn't shipped yet. I also havnt been charged either, which I thought was Nintendo's policy once it had in fact shipped. So is this on UPS's end or Nintendo's? Or just a matter of a site not updating properly lol..

Switching Miiverse accounts between two 3ds's.
So, to let you know what's going on here, both of my brothers have a 3ds xl. I set up both to have a Nintendo ID network, and also therefore a Miiverse account, so they can split the games we get for free to download. (IE, platinum membership and such) But now my younger brother doesn't really use it, and no longer wants it. However, the other brother's 3ds is the one where I've used Miiverse, because it uses my username I'd like to use, and so on. Is there a way I could swap the Miiverse names without switching the data? Or even if not, could I swap all downloaded content between them?

Nintendo 3ds touchscreen problem
I've had my 3ds for some time now and it has worked perfectly. But now whenever tap the touchscreen, the system thinks I touched the screen to the left.This problem gets worse the more the tap is to the upper-right corner. Although, the problem doesn't occur in the upper-left corner. I've also cleaned the rim of the touchscreen but nothing has changed. Someone please help.

using Pokémon Bank with multiple Digital Downloads?
as the title states, is it possible?
I recently moved back from Japan, this my system, bank and Pokémon X game are all Japanese. However I bought a new 2DS (because awesome design is ablessing to the hands) with a Digital Download Pokémon Alpha Saphire. Is it possible to use my PokéBank on my Japanese 3DS with my US Saphire?
I know the device & games are region locked but apparently PokéBank is not and can be used with all the cartridges. I'm just wondering if that applies to the Digital Downloads as well (taking the SD Card outta the US device, inserting it into the Japanese one)?

Dead/anomalous pixels on top screen of 3DS
Ever since this morning, there's been this strange pattern of black pixels over the top of my Top Screen. I originally thought it was a large area of dead pixels, which would be quite annoying in it's own right, but these areas were still visible when the system was turned off.
Any ideas on what this is/possible fixes/warranty? I just recieved the device for christmas but the gifter purchased it off of Amazon.

Nintendo ID?
I have two 3DS's and I can't understand why I cannot use the same eshop account/nintendo ID for both. If this will ever be changed to multi system accounts like Sony and Microsoft do, when do you think it would ever be changed? And is there any way around this? It really bothers me because I have like 40 digital games and only one physical.

How can I fix my 3ds crash issue?
Okay, so it's a pretty straight forward thing.
I purchased the 3DS XL a year ago. For an whole year everything was awesome. However, in the past week, there have been some extremely frustrating issues. Please note that the only time these issues arise are when I am playing Pokemon Y.
1) 85% of the time when I am playing Pokemon and close my 3DS to go to sleep, it freezes and will not exit sleep mode. The blue light doesn't dim like normal, and the only option I have is to hold the power button for a hard reset. It responds when I plug it in.
- I have tried removing my SD card and my game cartridge and made sure that the contacts are clear.
- I have let the battery die completely before recharging it.
2) Another issue of mine is when I try to connect to the internet to check out the GTS or do a wonder trade, or even just to see who else is online in the world, my 3DS freezes at the 'Connecting to the internet' message. It is perpetually trying to connect. It doesn't respond, and I am forced to hard reset.
- I have tested my connection through the 3DS itself. It works just fine.
3) The last issue that I have come across is that while I'm in my game, I can't do anything with my wireless. I can connect to local 3DS's just fine, but internet doesn't work. So, I decided to try and shut off my wireless. When I hold the wireless button fo disable wireless, nothing happens. It doesn't shut off, it doesn't flicker, it doesn't do anything. My game continues normally, but if I hit the home button after trying to disable my wireless signal, it freezes up. The music still plays, but the screens don't load, and the buttons are unresponsive.

3DS error code 003-4099 possible fix.
ok I'm just posting this as a possible fix for people with error code 033-4099 and have tried everything to port forwarding to manual setup to reseting everything. check to see if your routers Security Mode is set to (WPA2/WPA mixed mode) for some reason the 3ds does not like that. change it to just WPA2.

Deleted friend
So one of my friends had some things happen and they had to delete everyone on their friend lisd. Even though they deleted me I still have them on my friends list.If they register me on the same 3ds will I be added back and be able to see them online or will I have to delete them then re-ad them?

Charging question - flickering orange light with 3rd party charger
Hi All,
Just arrived in Abu Dhabi with my US 3DS XL, and mistakenly plugged the 120V AC adaptor into a 220V socket (forgot that the Nintendo chargers aren't dual volatge). The 3DS wouldn't charge, but otherwise seemed to be alright (don't know about the charger itself). I then bought a third-party charger that is listed as "Input AC 100-240V 50-60Hz, Output DC5.0V +/- 0.5V DC500mA". The 3DS seems to charge just fine until it reaches a full charge, at which point the (orange) charging light starts to flicker and then never actually goes off. If you open the 3DS, the screen also shows the system constantly switching between the orange "charging" icon and the blue "charged" icon. Anyone have any ideas why the 3DS isn't finishing the charge / why the light flickers and doesn't go off? I am assuming that there is something going on with the voltage from the charger that prevents the 3DS from knowing that it is fully charged, but I am concerned that I am somehow damaging the battery or the system. Any help would be much appreciated, as I am here for a month and don't want to mess us my (much loved) 3DS!

very strange problem
So, I've got a strange problem. My old 3DS's touchscreen no longer works. Matter of fact, it will go to the home menu, but it won't move. Not even with the d-pad or the circle pad. Recently, I purchased a newer 3DS, same model. But I need to link the Nintendo Network ID, so I can redownload all of the stuff I had prior, as a System Transfer is out of question. Therin lies my problem. It won't allow me to link the account on the newer one. Is there anything I can do?

error help
lately I've notice while I'm playing my 3ds the screen will sometimes go black and a error message appears on the touch pad with no error code telling me to turn off the power and try again. It happens to both downloaded and cartridge games and my 3ds is up to date i'm not sure what's wrong.
