Hi, I own a few games on 3DS Virtual Console and will be getting a Wii U very soon, hopefully on the way out of town tomorrow (June 29th) and when I do get the Wii U I will for sure be getting at least one game on Virtual Console for that system. On 3DS Virtual Console there are a couple Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games that used the Link Cable. For at least one Virtual Console game, Super Mario 3 for NES, Download Play is used to enable 2-player gaming. I was wondering if this generally applies for GB/GBC games? I'm asking because I'm playing Harvest Moon 2 and 3 GBC. Harvest Moon 3 GBC can, for the most part, be played without trading. But if your character is a boy and he gets married to the girl and she gets pregnant, she cannot work the whole time, and this can happen twice in one game. If you have sheep, they need to be shampooed. If you're a boy you must trade with someone playing a female character to get the shampoo so you can at least use it while the girl your boy is married to is expecting. But on the 3DS Virtual Console version, is this possible, or are you up the creek without a paddle (Or...in the sheep pen without shampoo, I guess...) halfway through the game?
