Alright, my 3DS's charging port has been in pretty bad condition for a while, and just today it finally went. The system no longer charges. I've already payed for a repair, but I was devastated when the final screen greeted me with the message "Please include your SD card with this repair." I have a save file in Fire Emblem:Awakening(eshop copy) with over 20 hours in it, and since losing this file would be horrible, I was hoping to just leave my SD card out of the system when I sent it in. I've seen a few people complaining that their returned systems have arrived with no SD card at all, so if I send it in with the card, I would at least like to back up the data on it. But I'm just wondering, would it really matter if I sent the system in without the SD card? If so, would backing up the data and putting it on a different SD card actually work? I've heard some people on this site say that old SD cards dont work on new systems.
