As the days go by, I'm noticing more and more scratches/scrapes of the gold finish on the center hinge (between top/bottom screens). The scratches are straight and are of a radial nature (looks to be caused by opening/closing the top screen during play sessions). I've seen this mentioned by only one individual on the entire internet during my initital research. Is this hinge scratching just normal wear and tear?
A few facts about my unit:
- Purchased new 30 days ago
- Total play time <40hrs over <20 sessions
- I keep strictly indoors in a Hori soft zipper case when not in play
- I wash/dry my hands before play sessions to reduce oil/sweat/debris buildup on the unit
- I use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe the unit every so often
- I open and close the unit carefully from the center...
