New Nintendo 3ds or Sd card corruption?

I don't know if its the SD card or the system causing this from me messing up or even possibly a defect. But from the day the new system was released in february I've been having troubles.

Basically it started the night I got the system, I check my data management to see if all my titles downloaded properly and I find an empty grey square with a 0 for blocks used by it, and when I delete it it suddenly deletes all of my digital content on the system. I get a little paranoid, so I format the card and put the data I have saved on my computer back onto the card, didn't have any problems after.

Then comes march, I made a post on here how I try to format my pokemon game and it gives me the black screen soon after. I just shrugged it off and thought it was an error with the software.

And here I am now, this weekend I have had three bad occurances with data. The first being my animal crossing I got as my platinum reward from club nintendo corrupting itself and forcing me to delete the save data. Then I try to boot up Dire grove on my ds the day after and suddenly get the black screen for that too. And now, finally I try to download fire emblem awakening from the eshop only to have the eshop bring up an error code: 007-2999 which I found to be random after googling and finding it may be some data messing with my memory card. So, I try to access data management and find that it says my card is corrupted and all my save data needs to be deleted. I thought nothing of it and just did it, but when I tried to it says it couldn't be reset for some reason. Frustrated, I just put my new 3ds into sleep mode and walk away for a bit, when I opened it back up after returning I found I can suddenly access my save data within my 3ds again like nothing ever happened.

So the question is now, is there something wrong with my system? The card? Both? I bought both on the same day, so I don't know which is at fault here. Any help would be appriciated as this is getting really frustrating, thanks.
