Hello! I was playing the demo to Bravely Default on my 3DS last night when the system suddenly crashed and showed a black screen with the message: "An error has occured. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again. For help, visit support.nintendo.com."
I thought nothing of it, as it was fairly late and just assumed that it was something small. I turned off the system and went to bed.
This morning I loaded my (eShop) copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It showed the loading screen with the train and crashed within eight seconds, showing the same error message. Worried, I tried again. Crashed. I loaded my eShop copy of Shantae. It was playable for a few seconds, then crashed. Tails Adventure? Crashed. Thinking that it was just a problem with my SD card, I ejected it and attempted to load a cartidge-based game- Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. Unfortunately, it crashed the second I reached the title screen. Even the Friend List crashed within a few seconds.
All of my themes are running fairly smoothly. Will I need to send in my system in for repairs? I've only had it for about a year. It's held up pretty well and seems to be made of the standard grade Nintendium that I've come to expect from Nintendo over the years, unlike my previous DS Lite. I was considering upgrading to the New 3DS when it is released here in America, though I've heard that NOA is only planning to release the XL version, or nothing at all.
