So I bought a 3DS XL just this past September, and I've been loving it. Though a week or two ago when re-organizing my Home Menu, I felt my stylus go over a bump. I looked at the screen closely and the stylus that the system came with had caused a small, but annoying scratch. Just for grins, I looked at the tip of the stylus and there is actually some kind of chip or dent in it. I don't know how it happened, because I always try my best to prevent these kinds of things, plus I haven't been forceful or aggresive with the stylus. (I'll attach pics of the screen & stylus tip.)
If I send it in for a repair/replacement, would it be covered by the one year warantee and, therfore, could get fixed for free?
And if you are wondering, yes you can see the scratch in game. My camera can't quite capture it, but you can really see the scratch in game.
Also, should I get screen protectors in the future to prevent things like this?
My camera can't quite focus on the tip, but you can kinda see a dark spot on the shiny part.
