Streetpass Mii Plaza Crashes Every Time

Hi all

For about 6 months now my system has been crashing every time I load up Streetpass Mii Plaza. I have the link between worlds model of the 3ds xl.When I try to open the Mii Plaza I see the following:

"An error has occurred. Hold down the POWER button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again.For help visit support.nintendo.com"

I have been patient, hoping that one of the system updates would take care of this, but after many updates it still does not work and my system is currently up to date.

I have tried removing the blocks from my SD card associated with Mii Plaza and this didn't help.

Any suggestions? Can we get a fix for this in a future update?
