3ds won't turn on (yes it's charged)

My 3ds will not turn on.  I hit the power button, the light turns blue, but the screens both stay black.  The blue light stays on for about 3 seconds, there is a pop sound, and it turns off.  I ust spent money on smash bros too.  Maor bummer.
