I went to trade in my original 3ds to gamestop. They didn't accept it because the connecter was broken, and it wouldn't charge without wiggling the plug.

nintendo, I paid $250 for the launch model. I have the xl and now nowhere can accept it. I mean literally, gamestop will give me $52 and you are charging $100? Until you get this sorted out, I can no longer trust your products. Can anyone help? (And don't tell me to call Nintendo.)
Also the paint on the r and l buttons have rubbed off.
