Need help with 3DS SD Card

Hi, my  brother's been having a problem with his 3DS SD Card and we can't fix it. My brother was drawing on Colors 3D 2 days ago and saving a drawing he made then he got an error saying an error has occured. He then turned his 3DS off and he turned it back on and went to Colors again and in the software it said creating new data and then after it said that it said it couldn't create new data. He went to the system settings and checked the extra data and there was a question mark with zero memory blocks where the Colors data used to be. Then when he tired going to the home menu, when you press the home button it keeps saying the SD Card has been removed for some reason when it clearly hasn't. He also can't use any of his downloaded games or apps, this includes Streetpass Plaza, Nintendo Video, any pre-installed app, Swapnote (I'm aware it's no longer supported) Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dreamland, Sonic Triple Trouble and any demos he had, they show up but when you click or tap on them it displays an error and when he tries Colors it says an SD Card has been removed. However, the 3DS Music, Youtube, the eShop and cartridge based games work fine. At first we thought it was the software that needed repairing so we tried the software repair option in the eShop but when we tried that, it says it cannot access the SD Card.

We then tried using the computer to try to repair the files using the error checking tool and it says Windows is unable to complete the disk check. We even tried the cmd thing and it doesn't work either for some reason. My SD Card had a problem earlier this year where it couldn't access the eShop and all my downloadable games where gone but I managed to fix it with the error checking tool so it baffles me as why I can't fix my brother's SD Card. We even tried moving all the SD Card files to my pc to copy them to another SD Card but it says the Nintendo 3DS File is not accessible so we can't copy or drag and drop it on the pc. We can't copy nor delete any of the files in the SD Card but we could the music files for some reason. I tried accessing the SD Card through the "My Computer" thing  as removeable storage but says access is denied. I am clearly out of ideas, my brother has had his data since 2011 and it would be a huge blow to lose it all now. I'm hoping to get a solution to this to get the data back, if not I guess my only other option is emailing Nintendo.
