3DS is detecting SD card fine, but not any of the stuff on it.

I got a new 32GB Micro SDHC card, and while I have not gotten any errors about detecting my SD card, it's as if there is nothing on my SD card.

Here's the list of things I did:

1: Cut+paste everything from the old 8GB SDHC card onto my dad's laptop.

2: Put the empty 32GB into the 3DS, a message pops ups, saying its creating some management files.

3: Copy everything from the laptop to the 32GB.

4: Put 32GB into 3DS, none of the software shows up. Check through data management, all the lists are empty, not even placeholders, just nothing. It says I have 185,803 blocks of free space. I never got any error message. <-- this is what is making my problem unique.

5: Check the new SD, laptop says everything is still there.

6: I format the 32GB card a few times:

Capacity: 29.8 GB

File System: Fat32

Allocation unit size: 16 kilobytes the first time, then 32 kilobytes the last

I never checked the quick format box.

7: Same results as 4, every time.

8: Then I copied everything from the laptop to the old, and empty, 8GB card. I didn't format the card. Same results as 4 (only 5,000ish blocks of free space)

So now my 3DS says new and old SD cards are empty, even though my dads laptop says otherwise.

What do I do?
