3DS touch screen acting odd?

Ok, so my 3DS touch screen just randomely started acting funky just yesterday. It rarely doesn't recognize any kind of touch unless I press down really hard on the screen (which isn't good for it, but what else am I suppsoed to do?), during that time I can't use the circle pad or the D-pad either. And when the touch screen does recognize a touch, it's completely off and usually just selects what is on the bottom right part of the screen. And calibrating it doesn't work for whatever reason when the touch screen is being responsive. Also, it seems to be that movement can also activate the touch screen oddly enough. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Because this is just so frustratiing
