Black screen

My son was playing Kirby Triple Deluxe that we downloaded to his Nintendo 2ds. He said it was lagging then the screen went black. I turned it off and on again. I can hear sounds and the screen is lit but black. There is no errror code. It is about 45 days old. We bought it at gamestop and the 30 day in store warrenty is up and they told me to check here. Can anything be done? Please help. He is so disappointed.
