My original teal blue 3Ds' shoulder buttons aren't working properly. I tried using a new and dry toothbrush to clean the area around each shoulder button.
It worked for a little while on the "R" button but it would always revert back to its non-working state but this method wouldn't work on the "L" button no matter how long I tried it.
I attempted to use the unadvised tactic of blowing into the buttons but that wold only work for about 5 minutes at best.
Anything else I can do? If I have to get it sent in to get fixed I'm ok with it because I really don't want to buy a new 3Ds XL because I love the size of the smaller origial 3Ds.
One problem though: the 1-800 number is always busy and the website sends me to the "404 not found" page when I try to set up a repair for my 3Ds. Any idea what's going on with Nintendo? Is everyone just going the phone route since the website is faulty right now?
I really don't want to buy a new 3Ds but if it takes too long to set up a repair then I might have no choice. I need the shoulder buttons to work for Mario Kart 7 and Uprising and I'll definitely need them for Monster Hunter 4, Super Smash Bros. 3Ds and Fantasy Life.
