Hello,
I purchased my 3DS used. The slot for game catridges was broken, but I could still use the eshop. I bought Rune Factory 4 using my 2 gigabyte SD card. I did not have enough room on that SD card to purchase the next game I wanted, which was Pokemon X. I figured, "no problem! I'll just find another SD card, download Pokemon to that, and switch SD cards each time I want to play a new game. It's the same as switching game cartridges!"
So, I found an unused 8 gigabyte SD card in an old camera, downloaded Pokemon to that, and all has been great ever since. I enjoyed both purchases without issue.
Then I bought a Powercase by Power A to extend the life of my battery. Its "play-thru" design has one flaw: The DS must be removed from the case if you wish to switch SD cards. Quite difficult for someone with a physical disability and weak hands, such as myself. I learned that I had enough room on my 8 gigabyte SD card to transfer Rune Factory over and have it and Pokemon coexist simply on one SD card. Wonderful!
I have put the 2 gigabyte SD card in my computer, opened the Nintendo 3DS folder, copied the folder named "2848992b6f7e3dd264a6ddf99eb3582b" to my desktop, removed the SD card, inserted the 8 gigabyte SD card, and copied that lengthily-named folder into its 3DS folder, but that only seemed to take up extra blocks without adding my Rune Factory game to the SD card.
I can only find instructions online on how to transfer one's SD card data to a completely new, blank SD card. That is not what I want to do. I want to take one game from one of my SD cards and add it to a larger SD card that already contains a game.hic
Which file would I transfer if I wanted to move my Rune Factory game to the same SD card as my Pokemon game?
Would simply re-downloading Rune Factory from the Eshop transfer my Rune Factory save files?
