Here is my situation:
Blue 3DS XL - Has a bunch of downloaded games and has never been linked to NNID
Zelda 3DS XL - Has Zelda and a couple other games and has been linked to a NNID
I understand that I have to format the Zelda 3DS to unlink the NNID. After I do that, if transfer from the blue 3DS to the zelda 3ds, can the zelda 3DS be relinked to the NNID again?
I ask this because I have already formatted the zelda 3ds once and relinked to NNID for a test. So will transferring the blue XL to it and then relinking work? Or will the zelda 3ds now have the identity of the old blue 3ds and refuse to link? (I ask this because the blue XL will not link to the NNID even after formatting the zelda XL)
